SCARSDALE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS

Good Morning,

I hope you had a terrific holiday weekend! We have some good news since my last update.

Congratulations to our Girls Flag Football team, who defeated Arlington 41-7 on Saturday to become Section 1 champions! They advance to the Regionals on Saturday at Tappan Zee High School at 11:00. If successful, finals are the following weekend in Cortland.

Quarterback Lilly Tessler is nominated for Lohud Player of the Week. In the Section 1 final game, Tessler threw five touchdown passes. Over the course of the Section 1 tournament, she threw for 504 yards, ran for six touchdowns, and threw eight touchdown passes. Please vote for her often at this link.

Girls Lacrosse defeated New Rochelle 18-6 in their first-round matchup this past Thursday. They will play the number one seed Suffern today at 4:30.

Baseball lost a tough game 4-0 to the number one seed RC Ketcham. This portion of the tournament is double-elimination, so they will take on Arlington at home today at 4:30 on Dean Field.

Due to weather, Friday’s Boys Tennis Individual Sectionals Championship matchup has been rescheduled to today. Sam Saeed will take on his opponent from New Rochelle at 4:30 at Harrison High School.

Boys Lacrosse, Girls Golf, and Boys Golf all compete on Wednesday. Track and Field also begins their Section One Meets this week.

Go Raiders!
