Learner Active Classrooms in Action

Students in Cooper 6 designed roller coasters with Jamboard, and built them with plastic cups and ramps. This innovative and dynamic lesson is a great example of #LATIC, or  Learner Active Technology Infused Classrooms.

With the LATIC model, students address real-life problems and needs, and are presented with meaningful higher-order activities which create a desire to learn. Students also decide who they want to work with, how they want to learn a concept and are responsible for scheduling their own time to accomplish daily work.

LATIC isn’t just engaging, it also fosters collaborative learning and timely, independent work.
