Scarsdale Middle School students had a great time with author Victoria Jamieson, culminating reading "retreats" the students took to explore books. Ms. Jamieson is the author of numerous books for middle school-age youngsters, including the popular "Roller Girl," based on her own childhood fascination with the sport, "All's Faire in Middle School," about her interest in Renaissance Faires, and "Olympig," based on her memories of a neighborhood olympics-like disappointment. She explained how she gets her story ideas, spoke about her own childhood, and demonstrated how she illustrates her own stories. #funwithreading
