Superintendent's Office and His CabinetThe Superintendent of Schools is the Board of Education's executive officer and the District's educational leader. He advises the Board on the broad direction for the academic and non-academic program and works with the staff to translate policy into action. He monitors programs and provides the Board information to perform their oversight function and provides a final level of appeal for administrative decisions. Interim Superintendent of Schools
Drew Patrick was appointed as Interim Superintendent of Schools on May 7, 2022. Prior to this appointment, Drew served as the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Leadership Development for Scarsdale Schools since July 2016.
Prior to this, he worked in public education as a teacher and school district leader since 1998. Before coming to Scarsdale, Drew served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in Bedford, New York for eight years. Prior to his district-level leadership position, Drew taught earth science, biology, and A.P. environmental science.
Drew holds degrees from the University of Rochester (B.S., Biology-Geology), the University of South Carolina (M.S., Geology), Bank Street College of Education (M.Ed., Educational Leadership) and Manhattanville College (Ed.D., Educational Leadership). Drew has published works as both a geologist and as an educational leader. Teaching and professional development are focal aspects of his practice as he provides extensive professional development, both within and outside the District.Jeannie Crowley
Director of Technology and Innovation, Chief Information and Data Protection Officer
Jeannie Crowley serves as Director of Technology and Innovation, Co-Director of the Center for Innovation, Chief Information Officer, and Data Privacy Officer.
Before joining Scarsdale in July 2022, she was Director of Technology at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, Manager of Digital Media and Learning at Bank Street College, and an Innovation Fellow at the Edlab@Teachers College.
Jeannie began her career in special education as a middle school teacher and technology coordinator at PS188X in New York City. She completed a master's degree in Digital Media Design for Learning at New York University and a master's degree in Elementary Education at Mercy College.Stuart Mattey
Assistant Superintendent for Business and Facilities
Stuart Mattey is the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Facilities. In this role, he oversees the Business, Facilities, Transportation and Food Service departments.
During his nearly three decades as a lead administrator at school districts in both the Finger Lakes and Hudson Valley regions of New York State, Stuart gained experience in developing and presenting annual budgets to a variety of communities across the State. In addition, during his career he has worked to improve the physical plants and educational spaces at schools, and collaborated with key stakeholders on capital bond projects totaling over $150 million.
Stuart takes great pride in working with each of the departments assigned to him in developing leadership skills through the sharing of his many experiences with a focus on best practice, communication, and customer service.
Stuart has a B.S. from SUNY Cortland, an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from SUNY Binghamton, and his C.A.S in School Business Administration from SUNY Brockport.Dr. Edgar McIntosh
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
Edgar McIntosh serves as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, Co-Director of the Center for Innovation, and Treasurer of The Global Learning Alliance.
Before joining Scarsdale in July, 2018, he was Director of Instruction and Human Resources for the Briarcliff Manor School District, Principal of Ardsley Middle School, and an Assistant Principal at the elementary and middle school levels in Mamaroneck.
Edgar began his career in education as an elementary teacher in Wilton, Connecticut and in New York City. While teaching in NYC, he worked as an instructional coach, co-authored the book Multisensory Strategies (Scholastic 2005), and contributed to multiple educational publications.
Edgar completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership at Fordham University with a focus on Middle School Literacy.Ray Pappalardi
Director of Physical Education, Health, and Athletics
Ray Pappalardi is the Director of Physical Education, Health, and Athletics for the Scarsdale Public Schools.
Ray began his career as a physical education teacher and a coach at the Horace Mann School. Over the past two decades, he has taught physical education in the Edgemont and Greenwich Public Schools, undergraduate and graduate courses in physical education pedagogy at Queens College, Adelphi University, and Teachers College, Columbia University, and served as an Assistant Professor of Assessment, Curriculum and Instruction at SUNY - Cortland. Most recently and prior to arriving at Scarsdale, Ray served for 7 years as the K-12 Teacher Leader for Physical Education and the Athletic Director for the Edgemont Schools.
Ray attended the City University of New York where he earned a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S.Ed. in Physical Education. Ray is currently a doctoral student in the Curriculum and Teaching in Physical Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University where he has concentrated his studies on curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment practices, educational measurement, and applied statistics.Carol Priore
Interim Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Leadership Development
Carol Priore is the Interim Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Leadership Development for Scarsdale Schools for the 2022-2023 school year. Carol recently retired from the Mamaroneck Union Free School District as the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Administration before rejoining Scarsdale Schools. Over the course of her three decades in public school education, she has served as an elementary classroom teacher in Mt. Vernon and Scarsdale, the Teacher-in-Charge at Heathcote Elementary School, and Elementary Principal at Central School in Larchmont.
Children are at the center of her work. Retaining and hiring the best professionals to support students is essential to their overall growth and development, both academically and emotionally. She seeks to foster a culture of excellence and collaborate with stakeholders to build a shared understanding of classroom practices that have a direct and lasting impact on student achievement and motivation.

Assistant Superintendent for Special Education and Student Services
Eric K. Rauschenbach is the Assistant Superintendent for Special Education and Student Services. In this role, he manages all special education programming and staff, related service providers, nurses, psychologists, guidance counselors, and safety, security, and emergency management for the District.
Eric strongly believes that all students can learn and deserve access to high quality, inclusive education, and he has continuously and systematically worked to remove barriers to this access. Eric is also passionate about developing a school system which values educating the whole child, including the social and the emotional growth of all students.
Eric started his career in education at New Rochelle High School, teaching social studies and special education. He joined the faculty of Scarsdale High School as a special education teacher in 2006. Prior to his current role, he served as a Learning Resource Center Teacher, Department Chair, and Director of Special Education.
