    About My Classroom
    The Strings program is exploratory in the 3rd grade with the violin and the cello.  In the 4th grade students may continue in small group lessons with any member of the string family:  Violin, Viola,Cello & String Bass, and gradually, when ready, become members of the String Ensemble. The 5th graders automatically become members of the Chamber Orchestra with weekly early morning rehearsals in addition to small group lessons.  Members of the String Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra participate in two annual school wide performances and two evening performances.
