I am very excited to be joining the Quaker Ridge family after teaching for the past 16 years as an early childhood special education teacher in New York City. For the last 4 years, I worked as an IEP teacher and reading interventionist. I am looking forward to getting back into the classroom and co-teaching with Mrs. Gondar, where we can make the most impact on our future leaders.
The growth, both academic and social, that you see in the primary age group is like no other. Children learn in different ways and finding those entry points and exploring their interests is key for success. I absolutely love being a part of their journey as they develop a life-long love for learning. I am confident that this year will be filled with curiosity, excitement, discovery and joy.
A little more about me...
I grew up in Briarcliff Manor and moved to Ardsley 2 years ago after living the last 20 years in New York City. I have a 9 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. While they both love learning and have had very positive experiences in school, they are completely different learners and students. As a parent, I understand the struggles and the worry you may feel about your child's performance in school. I'm here to help them become more independent, challenge them, build their confidence, and support them in every way I can to be successful.
I am truly looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your families!
