My name is Michelle Foligno and I am so excited to be teaching within the Visual Arts Department at Scarsdale High School!
Alittle about myself, I received my BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology and I was a Textile and Fashion Designer/Fabric Stylist for over 20 years creating for the fashion and home furnishings industries. I have had the pleasure of working for well known global brands such as Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Williams-Somona/Pottery Barn. You can view my textile website at www.mfoligno.com.
I earned my MAT from Manhattanville College. I have worked in secondary visual arts education at Dobbs Ferry High School, Riverdale Country School and received tenure at Suffern High School. I have worked as an Adjunct Professor within the School of Education at both CCNY and Manhattanville College. I am currently instructing an evening Sculpture class at Manhattanville College.
I have shown my work at galleries in the NY Metro area and have been commissioned by many private clients.
I enjoy spending time with my husband John, daughter Ruby and my 9 year old lab Layla :).
Please feel free to contact my anytime at x3401.
Thank you and I look forward to becoming part of the Scarsdale community.
Sincerely,
Michelle Foligno, mfoligno@scarsdaleschools.org
