Welcome to the reading teacher's website! I provide supplemental reading support in addition to the reading instruction students receive in the classroom. My program is intended to provide those students who need it, with the opportunity to progress at an accelerated rate. My small groups meet everyday. We read books, study words, learn phonic rules and reading strategies, write, and play lots of games, too!
I use Fountas and Pinnell's Leveled Literacy Intervention, or LLI. LLI is a research based program that is designed for small group, specialized instruction. My groups are made up of three students. The small group ratios give me the opportunity to tailor lessons to each readers specific needs.
