I also hold a BS in Classical Voice Performance from New York University. I continue to refine and improve my craft by pursuing additional coursework and attending workshops.

MUSICIAN: I am a singer-songwriter who has performed numerous venues and self-released a CD several years ago. I continue to write and perform. My primary instruments are my voice and acoustic guitar. I also play piano and percussion.

    OF NOTE:
    • During the summer of 2019, I participated in a Performing Songwriter's Workshop lead by Mary Gauthier called "Finding Your Writer's Voice" in Nashville, TN.
    • In the spring of 2017, I participated in a Performing Songwriter's Workshop lead by Jonatha Brooke called "Discovering New Paths into Songs."
      • These retreats were supported through a generous grant from the Scarsdale Schools Professional Development grants. In addition to collaborating with some amazing songwriters and getting to witness the incredible talents of professional songwriters, the work offered a wide variety of song-seed ideas that will undoubtedly be used to inspire the Heathcote students in their songwriting sessions.
    • During the summer 2013, I participated in a Songwriter's Retreat led by Catie Curtis. http://catiecurtis.com It was an intensive week of workshops, composition, and creating music with 20 other musicians from all around the U.S.
    • During the summer 2009, I traveled to Ghana, West Africa for an extensive cultural immersion course through University of Massachusetts/Amherst. We studied music and dance in the Ewe tradition for 3-weeks. You can get a glimpse of that trip through a video I posted on YouTube.
