    ADVENTURE - FICTION

    Stormbreaker   by Anthony Horowitz  197 pages.

    Alex Rider’s parents die in a car accident and he goes to live with his uncle and finds out that he works as a spy and now Alex must take over his mission to destroy something called a Stormbreaker.


    The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles.   by Julie Andrews Edwards.  277 Pages.

    Three determined kids, (Ben, Tom, and Lindy,)  and a professor go on mission to meet the last of the really great whangdoodle, but  they have to get past all the Whangdoodle’s guards and most importantly, the “oily” prock who is doing everything he can to stop them.

    One Small Dog.  by Johanna Hurwitz.  111 pages.

    This is a book about a boy whose parents get divorced and so he gets a dog, but the dog starts biting people.  Read the book to find out what happens.


    Shiloh.   by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.  144 pages.

    Marty finds a lost beagle in the hills behind his West Virginia home, and tries to hide it from his family and the dog's real owner, a mean-spirited man known to mistreat his dogs.

    Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw.   by Jeff Kinney.   217 pages.

    In the 3rd book about Greg Heffley, his dad thinks that Greg has to toughen up.  He thinks that Greg should do more sports and other “manly” events. But when his dad is thinking about sending Greg to military academy,  he freaks out!


    Stone Fox.  by John Reynolds Gardiner.  83 pages.

    This book is about a little boy and his sick grandfather. Little Willy is trying to help his grandfather and tries to win a dog sled race against tough people to get the prize money.


    The War with Grandpa.   by Robert Kimmel Smith.  140 pages.

    Peter’s grandfather comes to live with him and takes over Peter’s room and Peter tries to trick his grandfather to give up the room, but grandpa tricks Peter, too. Will this war go too far?

    Love, Stargirl.  by Jerry Spinelli.  233 pages.

    In this sequel, Stargirl is still obsessing over Leo and writes him thousands of love notes. She also meets interesting people and some are “human beans.” Read the book  and you’ll understand...


    Regarding the Fountain.  by Katie Klise.   144 pages.

    Written entirely in letter form, this humorous story describes mostly how  the students and staff of an elementary school have a lot of  trouble replacing their water fountain.

Whoever can get to a hundred dollars by Monday takes all the money!                                                                                                                                     

    The Corner Of The Universe.   by Ann M. Martin.  189 pages.

    The book was about a girl named Hattie and a special needs boy named Adam.  Hattie found out she has an uncle that her parents never told her about.  He is staying with her grandparents for the summer.  He embarasses her so much.  She meets a girl at a carnival.  Everything would be great if Adam wouldn’t  get in the way.  She gets to know Adam and starts to like him.  Adam starts to like her.  Will Hattie and Adam make a relationship?
