NYSSMA FESTIVAL 2019
REGISTRATION DEADLINE MARCH 1Every year, the New York State Music Teachers' Association hosts a special festival that allows students a chance to have their progress evaluated. Students prepare a solo, scales and sight-reading and perform for highly trained judges who deliver insightful, positive comments. Students get to meet many other players and most students enjoy practicing for this goal. It is a worthwhile and fun experience.
If you are interested, the festival dates are Friday and Saturday April 26th & 27th, 2019 @ Ardsley Middle School (Upon registering, students are pre-assigned their own 15 minute time slot some time during these two days.)
Please note that all students must prepare a solo, scales and sight reading as listed in the current NYSSMA manual. I have a copy of the manual in school, but your private teacher should also have this information to prepare you for the festival. Interested students must register with me by (or before) Friday, March 1. (This is a C DAY).There is a firm postmark deadline in March.
