    NYSSMA FESTIVAL 2019

    REGISTRATION DEADLINE  MARCH 2

Every year, the New York State Music Teachers' Association hosts a special festival that allows students a chance to have their progress evaluated. Students prepare a solo, scales and sight-reading and perform for highly trained judges who deliver insightful, positive comments. Students get to meet many other players and most students enjoy practicing for this goal. It is a worthwhile and fun experience.
If you are interested, the festival dates are Friday and Saturday May 15th & 16th, 2020 @ Bronxville School 177 Pondfield Rd. Bronxville, NY 10708 (Upon registering, students are pre-assigned their own 15 minute time slot some time during these two days.)

Please note that all students must prepare a solo, scales and sight reading as listed in the current NYSSMA manual. I have a copy of the manual in school, but your private teacher should also have this information to prepare you for the festival.
