Dear 3DO Students,
We are very excited to welcome you to a fun-filled 2022-23 school year!
We hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of summer and we cannot wait to hear about your awesome adventures! 3rd Grade is filled with amazing learning opportunities, and we believe you will thoroughly enjoy yourselves!
Mrs. DeGrazia and Mrs. O’Neill have many wonderful things planned for this year as we get the classroom ready for you! We can’t wait to hear about your summer! Mrs. DeGrazia spent the summer with her husband and 3 children watching them play in lacrosse tournaments, swim meets, and baseball games. Then, the DeGrazia’s enjoyed a week-long vacation in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Mrs. O’Neill spent the summer planning her wedding and luckily got married on July 22nd during the heatwave! Then, the O’Neill’s enjoyed a few road trips to Lake George, Montauk and LBI to go swimming, jet skiing and parasailing to cool off in this record-breaking summer heat!
Most of all, we are looking forward to meeting and learning more about YOU. We will have an eventful and enriching year together! You will love being part of our third grade classroom activities.
For the first day of school, please bring in “something special” from this past summer. It can be a photograph, postcard or brochure of a place you have visited; a ribbon or certificate of something you have achieved or done for the first time; or even a ticket stub from a museum or amusement park. Any of these artifacts will help you during our Writer's Workshop activities. Also, please bring in a photograph of yourself. If possible, we would recommend bringing in a copy (not the original) of the photograph. We will be using this photograph for our class bulletin board throughout the year. Lastly, please come to the first day of school with your school supplies (This list is on the "HOMEpage” on our Google Site). We will spend some time organizing them in class.
Enjoy the rest of your summer vacation. We can't wait to meet you on September 6th!
Mrs. DeGrazia & Mrs. O’Neill
