"I have learned that what I have not drawn I have never really seen, and that when I start drawing an ordinary thing, I realize how extraordinary it is..."-Frederick Frank

"You can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room." -Dr. Seuss

Everyone can draw except those who say they can't.
The Important idea here is that you are looking at what you are drawing.

    1. Draw two shoes touching.
    2. Draw your hand holding something that is important to you.

After completing the two drawings, look carefully at them and type a brief paragraph about the one that you think is your best drawing. Point out the exact reasons why you think it is a good drawing.

Please do not trace. Please do not use images from the internet. Draw while looking at real objects, not pictures. This assignment is about observing something very carefully and capturing it in line. Your best effort at really looking is what counts. If you spend time looking then your drawing will have a beautiful quality that shows your style and thoughtfulness.
