• Our social studies curriculum is focused on connecting social studies to student's lives while exploring a theme. Students will learn about history, culture, economics, civics, and geography. Students will gain information from fiction and non-fiction texts, primary sources, and various technology sources. Children will also be studying topics of interest through the inquiry method of research.

     

    The third grade focuses on:

    1. What is history? What is culture? - Grandparent/older generation interview and history box. We will take a field trip to the Hebrew Home in the Bronx!

    2. World Communities - will go hand and hand with our spring reading and writing units!
