Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 1st grade at Quaker Ridge School!!

I take this opportunity to extend a warm hello and introduce myself. I am Ms. Stefanie Vitulli, your child’s 1st-grade teacher.  I could not be more excited to teach this class.

I have my undergraduate degree in psychology from Quinnipiac University and my master’s degree in elementary education from Pace University. I have been working in the Scarsdale School District for several years in various capacities; this will be my third year at Quaker Ridge.

I believe that children learn best when they feel comfortable, safe, and valued. My goal for this year is to create a classroom community where learning thrives on trust, social connections, and family involvement. I think of a classroom as a family, one that will support each other in a safe, nurturing environment. Classrooms are places where students are willing to face challenges and take risks to grow.

We want to prepare each child for 1st-grade and beyond. To that end, I will do my part to keep you informed of our learning and your child’s progress. I ask that you also feel free to reach out to me at any time. I thank you in advance for working with me as a team so that your child will have a successful school year.

I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with your child and you.  I look forward to a year filled with fun, friends, and lots of memory-making experiences. I welcome your comments, questions, and concerns. Please feel free to contact me at svitulli@scarsdaleschools.org.
