Each cast can accommodate up to 40 Third through Fifth grade students. Third through Fifth grade students will be assigned speaking and singing roles. First and Second grade students will be placed in ensemble roles and are likely to perform with both, Cast A and Cast B.

Registration for the play will be online only from Sunday, November 10th to Wednesday, November 27th. No additional registrations will be accepted after this online registration period ends. All children who are signed up by the close of the registration, regardless of date/time, will be considered equally for participation in the musical.
Based on the previous years participation we anticipate enough demand to support 2 casts; Cast A and Cast B. However, If the registration results in numbers more than required for Cast A, but not sufficient for Cast B (which is very unlikely) leading to the shortage of roles in Cast A, we will use a lottery system to determine the participation.
You should only register your child(ren) through PayPal if you are able to participate at least in Cast A (early rehearsals), as we may only have this one cast. On the registration form, you will be asked to sign up for either Cast A or Cast B––PLEASE NOTE that if you select Cast B, you are committing to participating in the later rehearsals.
The registration fee is $185 per child.
Casting Day for Third through Fifth grade students will take place on Wednesday, January 8; Cast A 3:15-5:30PM and Cast B 5:45-7:45PM. No training or experience is necessary. Casting Sample Lines and Songs will be available to view/download after the registration closes with an ample time to practice before the audition. You will receive a separate email with links and details. First and Second grade students do not attend casting, as they will be members of the chorus.
Rehearsals will run for 2 weeks, every weekday starting on Monday, January 27, through to Friday, February 7. Cast A rehearsals will start directly after school from 3:10 to 5:45PM; Cast B rehearsals will be between 5:45 and 7:45PM.
All cast members are required to attend EVERY rehearsal by the production company, notwithstanding other extracurricular activities. The production company reserves the right to replace cast members who miss rehearsals. Please consider all other activities and prior obligations for this time period when registering your child(ren) for the School Play.
All cast members' families are expected to volunteer in some capacity. This production depends on volunteers and a lot of them. We will not be able to run this program without parents willing to assist during rehearsals, as well as during the productions. A follow-up email will be sent to registrants to request your services for helping with rehearsals and on production day.
Please consult with your children and check calendars carefully before registering. Refunds not triggered by lottery will incur a $10 fee. Absolutely no refunds will be processed after casting day.
More information about scripts, costume requirements, what to bring on rehearsal days, etc. will be sent out AFTER registration closes.
