• Sustainability Initiatives

    In conjunction with the district’s Sustainability Committee, the Food Service Department is dedicated to providing meals that not only keep our students happy and healthy, but also keep the wellbeing of our environment at the forefront. Sustainability measures taken include:

    • Compostable trays, utensils, milk straws, soup and coffee cups, bowls, boxes, and napkins at all schools
    • Recycling of appropriate products
    • Reusable dinnerware in the Learning Commons Café at the High School
    • Utilization of reusable trays, pans, and service flatware for our satellite Elementary School program
    • Purchasing of local products, when available
