Wrestling is only authorized for individual or distanced group training and organized no/low-contact group training. Open gym practice is available for all students by cohort.
If students would like to be placed on sport specific contact lists that will be used by coaches, please sign-up using the Sports Information Form and Sign-up List.

Gold CardsSubmit all Gold Card paperwork to the SHS Nurse before January 29, 2021 to insure that the Gold Card can be issued prior to the start of tryouts.TryoutsVarsity tryouts begin on February 1, 2021 at TBD and players must have their completed gold card from the school nurse. Information on how to get a gold card can be found atTryouts will take place in the SHS Wrestling Room for all levels (all grades 9-12) per the following schedule:
Please bring a pair of wrestling shoes as you cannot wear everyday shoes on the mat.Players are expected to be present at all tryout sessions. Missing sessions will be incorporated into the coach's evaluation of players for the Varsity team.Tryouts consist of assessments of individual wrestling skills. Athletes must be willing to work hard and demonstrate maximum effort in all drills. Strength and conditioning are important aspects of practices.The coaching staff also tests the athletes for general athleticism.Players are also evaluated on their cooperation with other players and their ability to take direction from the coaching staff.
Preseason PracticeTeam practices begin at the conclusion of the tryout period. A Google calendar will be shared with the team and parents listing the practice and game times and dates.
Monday - Thursday 3:30 PM-5:30 PM
Fridays: 2:30 PM-4:00 PM
Saturdays 9:00 AM-11:00 AM
Varsity level wrestling is a commitment of about 2 hours per day, 5-6 days a week with occasional Saturday games and tournaments. It is our expectation that athletes will be present for all team tryouts, scrimmages, practices, games, and tournaments.
Once Competition starts, individual matches go from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. Saturday Tournaments are all day.
