• Sinfonietta Strings

     

    Sinfonietta Strings is designed to provide a unique opportunity for string students in the 7th and 8h grades. With the idea of a chamber ensemble in mind, students in Sinfonietta participate in artistic decision-making together, often rehearsing and performing without a conductor. Team building and cultivating student leadership are important parts of this process. The ensemble performs advanced repertoire ranging from traditional classical to modern. Sinfonietta Strings meets once a week for rehearsals on select Fridays at 7:20am and has many performance opportunities in addition to scheduled school concerts. Often, additional rehearsals are added as we approach important events.     Sinfonietta Strings

    All rehearsals begin at 7:20 A.M. and are on Fridays, unless otherwise noted! Please report to the orchestra room at 7:15 in order to be ready to begin at 7:20.

    *This is also our concert evening. Arrive in concert attire. Our rehearsal time may be shortened if needed. The 8th grade orchestra will arrive at 6:30. Students in 8th grade will have a 30 minute break for snack, water, and warm up before the 6:30 8th grade warm up. Students in 7th grade will have a break and can do homework or practice during this time, as well as have snack & water. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm.
