Welcome to Raider Boys' Soccer
This fall, Scarsdale High School will field four Boys' Soccer teams:- Varsity is for the soccer players who demonstrate the strongest skills and abilities, regardless of grade-level.
- Varsity B is primarily for juniors and seniors who have a playing background on JV and want to continue their soccer careers.
- JV is for freshmen and sophomores to develop their skills and abilities. This team's competitive schedule mirrors the Varsity Team.
- JV B is for freshmen and sophomores that are taking the next steps to make the Varsity program.
(Note: JV teams are dependent upon having enough boys to field each team.)

TryoutsIn order to tryout, players must have their completed gold card from the school nurse. Information on how to get a gold card can be found atTryouts will take place at the SHS for all levels as indicated on the boys' soccer calendar.Players are expected to be present at all tryout sessions. Missing sessions will be incorporated into the coach's evaluation of players for the Varsity team.Tryouts consist of assessments of individual soccer skills such as fitness, technical ability and soccer aptitude. Field play is also a very important consideration. The coaching staff also tests the athletes for general athleticism.Players are also evaluated on their cooperation with other players and their ability to take direction from the coaching staff.

Regular Season
Soccer is a commitment of about 3 hours per day, 6 days a week with occasional Saturday games. It is our expectation that athletes will be present for all team tryouts, scrimmages, practices, games, and tournaments.
