The Gold Card Health History and Consent Form is now live for all fall sports. Please submit all required forms and supporting documentation by Tuesday, November 7 to ensure that student-athletes will be cleared for the first day of tryouts. The link to the forms can be found here.
It is important that parents and guardians thoroughly review our guidelines on cardiac arrest prevention, concussion management, COVID-19 prevention, and our standards for interscholastic athletic participation with their children who plan to participate in school-sponsored sports. Reviewing these guidelines in advance will allow families to make informed choices about interscholastic athletic participation.
We are committed to conducting neurocognitive baseline testing through imPACT as part of our concussion protocol. This information is detailed in our concussion management program and will be a part of the clearance process moving forward. Student-athletes are REQUIRED to complete a baseline test prior to being cleared to participate in sports. Students will be sent an individual link after the Gold Card Health History and Consent Form has been submitted, as the last step of the clearance process.
The official start date for winter sports is November 13, 2023. Coaches will be reaching out to students as we get closer to the start date. If you would like to be placed on a sport-specific contact list, please sign-up using the Sports Information Form and Sign-up List.
Winter season sports sponsored at Scarsdale High School include Boys' Basketball, Girls' Basketball, Boys' Bowling, Girls' Bowling, Cheerleading, Boys' Fencing, Girls' Fencing, Girls' Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, Boys' Squash, Girls' Squash, Boys' Skiing, Girls' Skiing, Boys' Swimming & Diving, Boys' Winter Track, Girls' Winter Track, and Wrestling. Girls' Ice Hockey is a sport offered through a merger with several other districts.
Please submit all required forms and supporting documentation by Tuesday, November 7 to ensure that student-athletes will be cleared for the first day of tryouts. This includes forms for students who wish to play on high school interscholastic teams and those who wish to serve as team managers. Forms that require parent and student signatures may be completed and submitted online. Forms requiring a doctor's signature must be scanned and uploaded prior to submission. Of course, all forms may still be submitted in person. Please let us know if you have any issues.
If you choose to file your forms through online submission, you will receive notifications via email. You will receive the first notification once your forms have been submitted and a second notification once your forms have been completely processed by the Athletics Office. You may receive a notification via email if your forms are incomplete or require further attention.
Once you receive notification that your forms have been completed, the student-athlete's name will be included on the Varsity roster for their respective sport. You will be able to see the sport on the student-athlete's school schedule in Infinite Campus. After the tryout period, the student-athlete will be placed on the appropriate team roster.
