• In grades 3-5, the students are introduced to a variety of activities that utilize the skills acquired during their previous Physical Education experiences.  These activities include, but are not limited to: flag football, volleyball, floor hockey, basketball, soccer, badminton, scooter games and baseball/wiffleball.   During these activities, the students are encouraged to think critically and creatively, display leadership skills, and collaborate with teammates.  Additional areas of focus are climbing and gymnastics, cooperative learning, and fitness.  The personal fitness level will be evaluated using the FITNESSGRAM assessment. The goal of the program is to provide valuable feedback to the child on their fitness level.  The students will learn to identify the components of health-related fitness and then create goals and design a strategy on how to reach their best personal fitness level and improve their overall health as well.
