    Q. WHEN AND WHERE DOES YEARBOOK MEET?


    A. Yearbook meets every Wednesday in room 1N7. If you are interested in joining yearbook, you can simply show up on Wednesdays, or feel free to email Ms. Stacey Dawes sdawes@scarsdaleschools.org for information.

     

    Q. WHERE CAN I PURCHASE A SHS YEARBOOK?

    A. Yearbooks can be purchased at the Yearbook Order Center.  The school's order number is 4750.

     

    Q. WHAT ARE AND WHEN ARE SENIOR QUOTES DUE?

    A. A senior quote can (but doesn't have to) thank friends, family, teachers, include a significant quotation that characterizes your philosophy or your years at SHS. You can also write a final goodbye to the school - regardless of your choice, you must follow the rules below, or it will be edited or deleted by the yearbook adviser and administration. Quotes are due December 4th by 3:00 PM. You can access the Google Form  By clicking here

     

    Q. HOW AND WHEN DO I TAKE MY SENIOR PORTRAIT?

    A. The senior portrait is taken by the school's photographer, Robert Taylor Photography. Pictures will be taken in The Little Theater on December 9, 10, 11, 12, and the16th by appointment only. 

    LAST OPPORTUNITY to take the senior portrait is January 7th 2025.

    Q. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MY SENIOR PICTURE, AND HOW DO I SELECT & SUBMIT MY POSE CHOICE?

    A.  Select the pose that is a vertical shot. Your head and shoulders are the only body parts that can appear in the photo. Be certain the picture does not show your hands. 

     

    Q. BY WHEN DO I NEED TO SELECT MY SENIOR PICTURE AND HOW DO I SELECT THE PICTURE?
     
    A.  Senior portraits must be selected by January 27, 2025.
     
    Go to the Robert Taylor Photography website
    • Select "Photography Services" at the top of the page
    • Select "Seniors"
    • Select "View/Order Pictures" 
    • Use the Personal Pin listed for Scarsdale (SDH25)
    • Click the "Continue" button
    • In "Gallery Code," input your 10-digit phone number (no dashes or spaces)
    • In "Personal Pin," input (in caps) your 5-digit School Pin
    • Click "Login"
    • "Heart" the image you would like to select for the yearbook
    • Finalize your selection at the bottom of the page by selecting the box asking you to confirm your picture choice

    Q. WHAT ARE SENIOR ADS AND WHEN ARE THEY DUE? Ads are no longer being accepted

    A.  Senior Ads are found at the back of the yearbook. They are a paid tribute to graduating seniors from their parents or family members, and are a way to celebrate the student's hard work, accomplishments, and high school graduation. The first deadline for ads is October 1st, 2024, no later than midnight; however, ads can still be purchased after midnight, with a late fee assessed, until October 30th, by midnight. October 30th is the final deadline. Ads cannot be purchased after October 30th.

     

    Q. WHAT DO SENIOR ADS LOOK LIKE?

    A.  Sample ads can be found under the "Sample Senior Ad" tab to your left.

     

    Q. HOW CAN I CREATE AND PURCHASE A SENIOR AD? 

    A.  Create and purchase your ad online by using Varsity's online Ad creation.

          STEP 1:Visit the Yearbook Order Center

          STEP 2: Enter school’s order number: 4750

          STEP 3: Select the "Yearbook Ads" tab at the top of the page.

          STEP 4: Select the ad type you want and follow the directions.

     

    Q.  DO YOU NEED TO RETAKE YOUR PHOTO OR WHERE YOU ABSENT FOR FRESHMAN ORIENTATION?

    A.  On November 18th any student who would like to have their picture retaken or did not take a picture at Freshman Orientation can report to The Little Theater, from 8 am to 12 pm or during the lunch period to have their photo taken.  Students can also have their picture taken during Common Tutorial.  If you would like to have your student’s photo retaken (there will be a $5 fee).  Additionally, you will need to bring the previously purchased photo package.  Please complete the  form and bring it to the Retake Picture Day.

    If this is a retake, the student must pay the $5 sitting fee and return the photo package that was mailed home in order to have their picture retaken.

     

    Q.  HOW CAN I PRE-ORDER THE 9TH, 10TH, AND OR 11TH GRADE PORTRAIT PICTURE?

    A. If you are interested in purchasing pictures for your student(s)*:

    • View the different  Photo Packages & Price List
    • Access the Prepay Online Program
    • The Prepay password is sch24
    • Enter the child's first and last name, select package and checkout
    • Please note this site is open now and will remain open until October 23rd

     *Robert Taylor offers the 3rd child free package for underclassmen only (9th, 10th and 11th graders).   Once you add all three children to the prepay cart and proceed to checkout, the 3rd child's prepay package will appear as “free. This offer only applies if you prepay. Note that 10th and 11th grade Picture Day will be in October.

     

    Q.  WHEN WILL THE 10TH & 11TH GRADE PORTRAIT PICTURES BE TAKEN, AND HOW DO I ORDER THEM?

    A.  Picture Day for 10th & 11th graders will be either October 9th or 10th.  Students will take their photo during their English class and the teacher will inform them of the specific day.  

     

     

    Q. WHAT IS THE BABY PICTURE SUBMISSION & HOW DO I SUBMIT ONE?

    A.  A baby picture submission is a picture of the senior when they were a baby (from infancy to ~3 years of age). Baby pictures are no longer being accepted

    STEP 1:  Go to http://www.hjeshare.com/eShare/?code=scarsdale        

    STEP 2: Fill out contact information

    STEP 3: Select "Upload Your Portrait"

    STEP 4: Upload baby picture

    STEP 5: Crop + Confirm Crop

    STEP 6: Select "Baby Pictures" for grade

    STEP 7: Enter first and last name

    STEP 8: Submit Photo

    You will receive the confirmation that your baby photo has been uploaded successfully. Please do not email the yearbook adviser to confirm upload. 

     

    Q. WHAT IS AND HOW DO I SUBMIT A "THROWBACK" PICTURE OF A SENIOR OR SENIOR GROUP? 

    A.  A "throwback" picture is a photo of a group of seniors from their elementary or middle school years.

    • Please submit no more than 3 photos per student.
    • Pictures can be submitted here
    • For description, enter "throwbacks."

    The last day to submit the throwback pictures is Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
