BYOD Wi-Fi
The District has a district-wide Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) wireless (Wi-Fi) network for staff and students. If you want to connect to the internet from any of your personal devices while you are at school, it is best to connect those devices to the BYOD network, not the Guest network. The BYOD network will automatically reconnect you every day, while the Guest network will require you to re-register every 24 hours.
You need to use your Active Directory (AD) / network username and password to connect to the BYOD Wi-Fi. If this is your first time logging into the school network, you need to first change your AD password. For instructions on how to do that, click here. For security reasons, you will be prompted to log into Schoolwires to view the instructions to change your AD password.
iOS devices, e.g. iPhones or iPads:
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi
- Select SUFSD-BYOD
- Enter your AD username (first initial + last name without @scarsdaleschools.org)
- Enter your AD password
- Click Join
- On the next screen, click Trust (in the upper, right hand corner)
Android devices:
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi
- Select SUFSD-BYOD
- For EAP method, select PEAP
- For Phase 2 authentication, select MSCHAPV2
- For CA certificate, select Do not validate or if that is not a choice, leave as Unspecified
- For Identity, enter your AD username (first initial + last name without @scarsdaleschools.org)
- If you see Anonymous Identity, leave it blank
- For Password, enter your AD password
- Scroll down, and check Auto reconnect
- Click Connect
Your device will connect to the SUFSD-BYOD network and will reconnect to it every time you enter a Scarsdale Schools building.
