Dear Parents,
Welcome to the new school year! I hope you and your children had a safe and relaxing summer. The new school year brings excitement for students, parents, and teachers. This year also brings a new Hybrid school model. Please know that all the teachers and staff have worked closely to ensure a safe return to school. I wish you all a wonderful school year and hope that the year brings excitement and joy in learning for your children. The Learning Resource Center (LRC) teacher page will provide you with information about the LRC and learning resources. Please contact me if you have any questions.
The Beginning of the Year:
The new school year begins with class review meetings. Prior to the opening day of school, Jen Turetzky, our school psychologist, Nancy Van Camp and I review all of the students in the school with their new teachers. We review the services of children who receive support as well as their accommodations. In a normal year, the first few weeks are a time of transition for your children. This year, with our Hybrid model, we have new procedures and will require understanding, flexibility, and patience in order to keep our children, families, and staff safe. I will work closely with your children's classroom teachers to ensure a smooth transition for the children who receive support services. I will consult on a regular basis with teachers who have children with mandated services. The classroom teachers and I work closely to coordinate the classroom assignments and support programs.
Once again, I wish you and your children a safe and meaningful year!
