Dear Families of 3B,
Hello and welcome to the Third Grade! I hope you are having a wonderful summer so far.
I am really excited to be teaching third grade once again and look forward to creating the most awesome learning space with all of you. When I first started working at Heathcote, I taught third grade for several years. I also taught 3rd grade for a few years in New York City before coming to Heathcote. While the curriculum may have changed (there’s so much cool new science for us to get messy with), there are some things about third graders that I believe to still be true. I believe that third graders have an abundance of positive energy and enthusiasm, they’re willing to try new things and take some risks, they like to take part in the planning, designing and building when it comes to innovative new projects. I can’t wait to learn about all of you and your hopes for third grade!
Parents, please visit my blog that will serve as a wealth of information for you and your family this year - check it out (and bookmark it) Limitless Learners. Thinking forward to Open House, I've posted a letter on the Resources for Parents tab of my blog that outlines important information regarding the evening.
Please be sure to sign up for Remind and join our class, 3Boyer20, using the code @38ak7k. I will use Remind to send reminders about events that are scheduled throughout the year. Also, follow me on Twitter @CBBoyer2 to see what’s happening in your child’s world during the school day. Please email me with the email addresses that you would like included in our class email announcements. Thank you.
I'm really excited to see you all in a few weeks! Until then, enjoy the rest of the summer.
