    Rye FH Academy winter programs are open for registration!!

    Their website is still under construction, so we only have registration links for now. 

    They offer multiple different programs for all ages and skill levels.

    They also offer Winter Clinics in three different counties – Westchester, Dutchess, and Rockland

    Winter Clinics practice once a week, beginning in December. The clinics are a great opportunity for players of all skill levels and ages looking to learn new skills and attempt to perfect older skills. 

     

    Westchester Clinic

    Location: Boys & Girls Club, Mount Kisco 

    Saturdays @ 12-1:30pm (Grades 2-5)

    Saturdays @ 1:30-3 pm (Grades 6-8)

    Saturdays @ 3-4:30pm (Grades 9-12)

    Dutchess Clinic

    Location: Gold’s Gym, Poughkeepsie 

    Saturdays @ 6:30-7:30pm for all grades.

    Rockland Clinic

    Location: Torne Valley Dome, Hillburn

    Registration is open for the Winter Travel Team tryouts. The winter travel team practices twice a week and plays 3 tournaments throughout course of the season. The travel team is a place for players to bring their field hockey skills and game IQ to another level. With training and playing tournaments, players are exposed to elite levels of play and ultimately gain critical high-level field hockey skills. 

     

    Travel Team Tryouts

    Location: Boys & Girls Club, Mount Kisco 

     

    Time/Date: 

    November 4th and 5th

    12-1:30pm for U12/U14 tryouts

    1:30-3:30pm for U16 tryouts

    3:30-5pm for U19 tryouts

     

    Practices will be on Tuesday and Thursday nights between 6pm-9pm at Manhattanville College. The season will start in December!

    AG Hockey Club runs strong clinics that are not associated with membership on a club team.  Chelsea Piers in Stamford also runs clinics for players in 8th grade and below.

    Scarsdale Middle School Modified Field Hockey 2023 Fall Season
      
    PHOTO DAY:  TO BE ANNOUNCED THROUGH SCHOOLOGY AND/OR INFINITE CAMPUS
     
    You must have a FORMS completed and submitted to the nurse and physical clearance to be eligible for participation.

    PLEASE GO TO SCARSDALE MIDDLE SCHOOL –ACTIVITIES—then SMS ATHLETICS FOR ALL INFORMATION

    Practice runs select Tuesday's - Friday (school days) from 2:45 – 4:15

    Game Schedule:  Schedules will be posted to schoology, but they are not complete yet. There may be changes to this schedule.  

    Game days:

    Home games start at 4:15 or 4:30 pm at Scarsdale Middle School. Warm-ups start at 3:30pm. 

    Players may attend extra help or study until 3:30 pm on game days.

    Away games:  Bus leaves SMS as soon as possible after school. Usually 3:00 pm

    Bus transportation will be provided to and from athletic contests.

    In the event a player needs to be picked up from an athletic contest, written communication must be received PRIOR to the contest.  This should be sent to Mr. Kevin Roemer (kroemer@scarsdaleschools.org) & Mrs. Berger (cberger@scarsdaleschools.org).  

    Equipment:

     
    A "Molded" Colored mouthguard
    Shinguards - Players will need white for home and black for away.  We recommend the reversible brands.
    A field hockey stick (voodoo, TK, STX brands are types to get)
    Goggles - approved protected eyewear such as debeer or STX And similar to lacrosse goggles)
    The NFHS rule ASTM F2713 requires that there be a vertical bar to protect the frontal zygomatic bone - This is NOT a requirement for lacrosse goggles.

    Please bring in a lock from home to use in the Athletic locker room.  We recommend locking up equipment and valuables.  Combination MUST be recorded with the Coaching staff:

    If you are interested in playing on a club team, New York Hockey Club is fantastic and looking for some new players, especially in the U14 and U16 age groups.  Links to other clubs are listed below as well and include FC United and Chelsea Piers.
