Instrumental Music
Heathcote offers instrumental music in grades 3-5. Third grade is introduced to violin, cello, clarinet, and baritone horn, representing all instrument groups. In the fourth and fifth grades, instrumental music becomes elective. Students may continue with their third grade instrument or select any other band or orchestra instrument. Students who elect to participate meet with their instructors for one period during our A-F schedule. A celebration of work is seen during the Winter and Spring concerts performed for fellow students and parents.
