Eligibility for Exit from Speech & Language Therapy Program
Exit decisions are based on the student's performance on standardized and/or functional assessments, as well as, meeting their established goals. Speech/Language services may also be discontinued if, after re-evaluation, any of the following conditions are present:
1. The speech/language deficits no longer adversely affect the student's educational and/or social-emotional performance.
2. Therapeutic intervention is no longer yielding a positive educational effect.
3. The student is not accessing the speech/language services.
4. The student has accomplished stated goals and further service is not indicated.
