I think it is really important to celebrate every child's birthday in kindergarten grade. On his/her big day, I give out a birthday crown, pencil, sticker and an activity book. Then I read a special birthday book to the class. In lieu of food treats, I am asking you to send in something special for your child's birthday. It could be pencils to give out to the class, stickers, etc. In the past parents have donated books to the classroom in honor of their child's birthday. Let me know closer to your child's birthday what you are planning to send in. I ask that you SEND in your special "something" that morning and we will celebrate during our free time that day. Thank you for your help. Summer birthdays will be celebrated in June.

Also each child will receive the birthday bag. There is a journal for the child to draw/write in about his/her birthday. There are also books to read at home about birthdays. Each child will receive the bag once throughout the year.
