About Our Classroom
I recognize that each child is an individual. I believe that all children are creative and that all children need (and have a desire) to succeed. Therefore, I respect the individual needs of children; foster a caring and creative environment; and emphasize the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child.
I have taught 5th grade at Heathcote since 2004. Before coming to Scarsdale, I taught 4th grade for 5 years in Southlake, Texas (a suburb of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex). School and learning have always been a priority in my life. I hold degrees in education from Baylor University, Texas Christian University, and Teachers College, Columbia University.
MY DOOR IS OPEN!!
On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, I hold "Open Door" hours between 8:00 and 8:45. Tuesdays will be dedicated to math. Thursdays will be open to any subject. Attendance is completely optional.
