3rd Grade Instrumental Program: The third grade instrumental program is a wonderful introduction to the world of concert band instruments. All third grade students get a chance to try out playing clarinet and baritone horn (as well as violin and cello) , then choose one of these instruments to study for the rest of the year. More information about this program. 4th Grade Instrumental Program and Concert Band: Students in 4th grade have the option of joining concert band, orchestra or neither. Instrumental students can study flute, clarinet, oboe, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, french horn, baritone horn or percussion(space limited). They begin the year in small group lessons and then begin attending concert band rehearsals later in the fall or early winter. The 4th graders participate in two concerts a year. More information about this program. 5th Grade Instrumental Program and Concert Band: Students who continue concert band in 5th grade rehearse one day per cycle at 8ambeginning in late September.
