About My Classroom General Music class is a place where children experience music concepts and literacy through singing, dancing, listening and creating music. The space is open to allow room for movement and small groupings of children. Exciting things happen here such as World Drumming in Grade 5, Recorder in Grade 3, and the Kindergarten Show. Additionally, every 4th and 5th grade student experiences a large group chorus once per cycle. In chorus the children learn techniques for good singing, sight-singing, ear-training and the experience of great chorus literature. Concerts are given every winter and spring. |
