I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer. Our Middle School Athletic Fall season is open to all 7th and 8th graders. This is a no-cut policy program where everyone will have an opportunity to participate. Practices are four to five times a week from 2:45-4:45. In the fall we offer Girls’ Volleyball, Girls’ Field Hockey and Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country.
All interested students should complete the following steps:
- Have physician complete and sign Modified Physical Form.
oThe school nurse must interview each student after his/her Gold Card Questionnaire is handed in to the Nurse’s Office.
- Students must attend an interest meeting on September 6 in Gym A at 2:45.
All forms are available at the Middle School Nurse’s office. The nurse will begin collecting Gold Cards on September 1ST. Modified physical forms can be handed in or faxed to the Nurse at anytime. The fall season will start on September 6, 2012.
I would also like to take this opportunity to announce the availability of the Modified Sports page. It is located on the Middle School home page under S.M.S Athletics. This website will give you answers to any and all questions regarding Modified Sports. It includes downloadable forms, team schedules, directions to game sites, and updates regarding weather cancellations.
