About My Classroom
Welcome to Mrs. Harley's Fourth Grade! I hope you will find this web page to be a convenient way to access information about our class. Here, you will be able to find resources including our specials schedule; field trip information and interesting links. You may want to look at the units of study that we will cover this year. Please check the Class Calendar for upcoming events.
Homework Policy:
Approximately 45
minutes of homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday nights.
Homework is given to reinforce skills and concepts taught in class. In
addition, the children are encouraged to read every night and keep a
home reading log. I do not give homework on weekends or holidays.
Early Morning Study Group:
In October, I will initiate my early morning math study group. We will meet from 8:05 - 8:45 on Friday mornings. This will provide me with an opportunity to work in a small group setting reviewing and previewing math concepts with children who feel they need the extra support. Attendance is not mandatory and is extremely flexible. The children may come and go on an as needed basis, but there may be times when I will request that specific children come for review as the small group setting will be beneficial for them.
