Students are encouraged to borrow books and may do so for a period of 12 days (2 six day cycles.) The number of books allowed to be signed out at any one time depends on the students' age and what is happening in the classroom regarding research or literature projects. Fox Meadow hosts several author visits each year. Earlier this year, Kindergarten and First Grade were treated to a visit with author and illustrator Nancy Elizabeth Wallace. On February 7, Grades 4 and 5 will have Sarah Weeks visit. We will wrap up our author visit program this year with poet and illustrator Douglas Florian visiting on May 1 with Grades 1, 2 and 3. |
