About My Classroom
The Chemistry 513 course includes a general overview of the basic principles guiding High School Chemistry curriculum. The main areas include: Structures and Phases of Matter; Atomic Structure; Chemical Nomenclature; Chemical Quantities; Behavior of Gases; Acid and Base Theories; Chemical Equations and Stoichiometric Ratios; Aqueous Solutions, Electrochemistry; Nuclear Reactions; Organic Reactions. Students are encouraged and invited to participate during "Lecturing" and "Problems Solving" portions of the course. Home work assignments will be reviewed on regular basis. Individual Topics will be supported by at least one "hands-on" activity involving contact time working with measuring and data collecting instruments, different reagents, and result analysis |
